I’m sure you have been to a wedding, as a guest and stood around thinking “When’s the food?’ The reality is, that during your day’s events there will be a lot of ‘downtime’ for your guests. This could be, in the time immediately after the ceremony, whilst the photographs are being taken or in between the courses during the meal. This can be an uncomfortable time as many of your guests will also be meeting for the first time. Instead I provide, sophisticated entertainment involving the guests in memorable and fun performance pieces.
As I am also a large-scale illusionist (as seen on Britain’s Got Talent) the performances your guest will witness are not just limited to small card tricks (like you may have seen before). Don’t Be Fooled By Award Winners!
These days everyone seems to be saying that they are an ‘award winning magician’. This use to really mean something, but not these days! In the magic industry their are conventions, magic societies and magic clubs. A performer may have won a competition at their local society or club and this may have a very limited membership. The performer may win the ‘Stage Competition’ at a local society but the reality is that they only beat two other performers that had no stage or cabaret experience at all. Forever more they will advertise themselves as ‘Award Winners’.
So How Do You Check?
Well by having a good look around the performers website you will get a good idea of the quality of their performance. Look for the amount of images on their website at weddings very similar to yours. Better still ask the performer outright what the award was for and googled the award/society and check out it’s authenticity for yourself.
Be very aware of any kind of Facebook qualification or an award ran by a Facebook based business. Quite often the performer pays to take part and just simply has to get likes or votes, all of which can be faked!
Am I Qualified?
I am proud to say I have won the British Magical Championships and The Magic Circle’s Close Up Magician of the Year which are both internationally recognised awards and I guarantee to enhance the day for you and your private guests. I am very honoured to say that I have also been booked to perform previously, at private parties for The Queen, within Buckingham Palace and has wowed the judges on Britain’s Got Talent.
